Starting September 11 and 12, Fall Celebration Weekends begin with pumpkins, hayrides, seasonal décor in their gift barn, and fall food vendors. Fill your market basket to the brim with produce galore, local cheeses, jams, jellies, sauces, local honey, Ohio maple syrup, homemade fudge and much more.
Be sure to take home some of their freshly pressed apple cider. And don’t forget the donuts. Their blueberry donuts are legendary!
Fall is also the time local vineyards are busy harvesting. The Vineyards at Pine Lake and Mastropietro Winery will have vines loaded with grapes that the winemakers will use to create future vintages. Enjoy their outdoor patios for beautiful views of fall color while sipping and sampling.
The world-renowned Butler Institute of American Art has some special exhibits coming this fall—George Dombek’s Bicycles and Barns, Teo Ngyuen’s remarkable landscapes, and Phil Shore’s wood sculptures will be on display. Mark your calendars now for the much-anticipated Steranko and the American Hero exhibit, coming March 13-May 29, 2022.
You don’t want to miss this very special event featuring more than 60 select paintings depicting the most popular and prominent superheroes dominating the current international entertainment scene. Stan Lee cited James Steranko as one of the prime architects of the Marvel Universe. Steranko has also worked with Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola on some of their most popular films.
