Soak City Heats Up with New Thrills and Family Fun
Kings Island just cranked up the heat — and the splash — with exciting new attractions now open in Soak City Water Park! While there’s no new roller coaster this season, the thrills haven’t slowed down. From racing slides to a brand-new play area for kids, 2025 brings fresh fun for every age.
RiverRacers: Ohio’s First Dual-Racing Water Coaster
RiverRacers is making waves as the state’s first dual-racing water coaster. Riders climb into side-by-side rafts and launch down a 33-foot, 47-degree drop, hitting speeds up to 30 mph. Water jets propel rafts uphill through twisting tunnels lit with colorful effects, leading into sharp turns and one final plunge to the finish line.
This is more than a slide — it’s a full-on water-powered thrill ride. The excitement builds with every twist, splash, and side-by-side challenge.

Splash River Junction: A New Place to Play at Soak City, Kings Island

A Smoother Ride on The Beast
Over at the dry side of the park, fans of The Beast will notice a smoother, faster experience. Kings Island upgraded the legendary wooden coaster with 2,000 feet of new track. The classic thrills remain — deep forest dives, roaring turns, and that iconic tunnel — but now with improved ride comfort.
