Summer is in full swing, and Cleveland is the place to be. Check out these great summer activities that will have you laughing and dancing all summer.
Wednesdays
Hump day is full of action this summer. Join one of Cleveland’s favorite radio stations, the WMMS’ Alan Cox Show and the Funny Bus, and explore Cleveland’s unique neighborhoods and entertainment areas on this 90-minute trip. The tour guide is a local comedian who will have you laughing before you know it. Since you aren’t driving, you can bring your beer and wine on the Funny bus. But even better, Collision Bend is the point of departure, and present your digital ticket to receive two complimentary beers per ticket. Make it a summer to remember aboard The award-winning Funny Bus Comedy City Tour.
Wade Oval Wednesdays are back. University Circle is jamming to reggae, jazz, classic rock, and more sounds. Now through August 16th, the free concert series will have you movin’ and groovin’. Bring a blanket or chair and kick back on the green space surrounded by Cleveland’s cultural attractions. Enjoy local food, wine, craft beer, and activities for the kids.
Thursdays
Thursdays have The Cleveland Metroparks Summer Concert series in full swing. This traveling music series highlights seven exciting waterfront venues through August 31st from 4-8. Enjoy a beer garden, local food offerings, and Cleveland Metroparks concessions. For more information, visit clevelandmetroparks.com/concerts.
Shop Local
Cleveland Bazaar has been supporting “Shop Local” since 2004. On select Saturdays throughout the year, this pop-up shopping experience is in the courtyard across from The West Side Market in Ohio City.
Discover handmade and one-of-a-kind treasures from local artists and businesses. Grab some spicy pickles or pottery. Find a new favorite hot sauce or a handcrafted item for a new baby. You won’t leave empty-handed, I promise. Summer is buzzing all over the place, and if you are lucky enough to live in Northeast Ohio, I encourage you to check out any or all of these exciting events. But don’t stop there. Festivals, art shows, music events, and cook-offs are happening all around the area. Let us know where you venture next at our Compass Ohio Facebook Page.
