Owner Nate Thompson, who also founded The Michigan Museum of Horror, designed this attraction to unsettle, fascinate, and spark curiosity. The building, standing since 1900, carries its own haunted past, giving the exhibits even more weight.
The Last Meal Restaurant: Dining with History
The museum sets the stage, but the experience doesn’t stop there. Across the hall waits “The Last Meal”, a restaurant that recreates the infamous final meals requested by death row inmates.
For example, John Wayne Gacy—one of America’s most notorious killers—ordered fried chicken, fried shrimp, French fries, and strawberries for his last meal. At The Last Meal, you can sit down and experience that same unsettling plate. Other requests appear on the menu too, from simple scoops of ice cream to lavish spreads that feel disturbingly ordinary.
Serial Killer-Inspired Drinks and Dark Dining Experience
Drinks continue the theme, with serial killer-inspired cocktails that make you pause before the first sip. Each order tells a story and forces you to face the reality that someone once ate these meals in their final moments.
