On January 18, 2025, hikers will gather for the 59th Annual Winter Hike. This beloved tradition draws outdoor enthusiasts eager to experience Hocking Hills’ winter beauty. Last year, around 5,600 hikers enjoyed the sight of sunlight glistening on icy waterfalls and sandstone formations blanketed with fresh snow. This year, the six-mile hike will lead participants through Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, and Ash Cave. Experienced guides will point out frozen waterfalls, shimmering icicles, and winter wildlife along the way.

The hike starts at 9 a.m. at the Old Man’s Cave Visitor Center, and free shuttles will take hikers back to the starting point. To stay warm and comfortable, dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes.
