Get ready to fire up your appetite—Streetsboro’s Brew & BBQ Bash (Ohio) returns, and it’s bigger than ever. The event will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the city park (8970 Kirby Lane).
Regional BBQ Teams Compete for the Title
The heat is on as pitmasters from across the region battle it out in five sizzling “Best Of” categories. Only one will walk away with trophies, cash prizes, and the title of Brew and BBQ Grand Champion. Returning to defend their crown is last year’s champion, Sucka Bone BBQ from Ravenna, along with runner-up Jay Rhea BBQ of Aurora.
BBQ Alley and People’s Choice Award
BBQ Alley features 12 BBQ trucks serving their smoky best and competing for your vote for the Best People’s Choice Award. Returning favorite Chasin’ Tailz BBQ from Ravenna hopes to keep their People’s Choice crown, while Pink Piggy BBQ from Macedonia is back for another shot at the top.
A portion of the proceeds benefits the Special Olympics “Portage Grin and Bear It” organization and the Streetsboro Heritage Foundation. Alongside the competition, over 15 traditional food trucks and 25 craft vendors will be on-site with even more to taste and explore.
Craft Beer Adds to the Experience
Need something to wash it all down? More than 17 local craft breweries are bringing the hops, pours, and personality—sip your way through bold, refreshing brews!
Live Music on the Woodsy’s Stage
The music lineup brings added excitement to the evening. The Hair Band Experience (from Detroit) headlines with big hits from Bon Jovi, Poison, and Def Leppard. Their show includes full costumes and role changes, set enhancements, and a stage presence that delivers an authentic concert experience. John Doe opens with rock favorites from the 70s to the 2000s. The entire event is hosted by DJ Krooze of the Krewway Experience, keeping the energy high from start to finish.
Family Fun for All Ages
Families are welcome and well entertained. Kids can enjoy returning favorites, such as the Foam Zone and bounce inflatables, along with live animals and alpacas from Pure Passions. Don’t miss a special show by the St. Helen Unicycle Drill Team or a photo op with fan-favorite Lola Oink Pig. Ron Hill will be on-site creating caricatures, and there will be carnival-style games to keep the fun going. Monster truck fans can take pictures with Total Chaos and enjoy rides on Maximum Override, brought by Top Notch Motor Sports.
