Beers, brats, and bands—who could ask for more? Celebrate the coming of spring at Historic Zoar Village’s annual Maifest German festival on Friday, May 9, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
At Maifest, you can experience an authentic, traditional German festival with German brats, roasted chicken, and Cleveland Kraut sauerkraut. Enjoy craft beers from Lockport Brewery, Wooly Pig Farm Brewery, and Maize Valley Craft Brewery while listening to live music featuring Lulu’s Button Box Review, Gemutlichkeit Clevelander Musikanten, and Visinata.
Fun Activities for All Ages at the Maifest
Whether you’re a family looking for a day out or a couple looking for a fun day trip, Maifest has activities for all ages, including:
- “Plein air” painting
- Traditional sauerkraut-making demonstration
- Special tours of Zoar’s Bimeler Cabin and a new art exhibit
- Games and make-and-take art projects for kids
- The classic Maypole dance!



All-Marques German Car Show
While you’re at the festival, be sure to check out the All-Marques German Car Show on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring a variety of antique and modern German-made vehicles.

Free Admission & Special Tour Discounts: Historic Zoar Village’s Maifest
Maifest is free for all visitors! As a special offer, guided village tours are available at a discounted price of $5 per adult, with free admission for children aged 11 and under.
