Sip, Stay, and Unwind Along the Three Rivers Wine Trail in Coshocton County

Three Rivers Tour

The Three Rivers Wine Trail in Coshocton County winds through the Appalachian Foothills, inviting you to slow down and enjoy handcrafted wine and beer at eight unique locations. With restored barns, riverside patios, and rolling farmland, this trail offers a glimpse into Ohio’s wine country.

Welcoming First Pours Along the Wine Trail

Sip wine on the porch of a beautifully restored century-old barn at Yellow Butterfly Winery, surrounded by quiet countryside and open skies. Watch alpacas grazing nearby as you enjoy one of nearly two dozen wines, from sweet fruit blends to crisp dry pours, all crafted to be shared in the spirit of joy and togetherness.

Just down the trail, Raven’s Glenn offers a different but equally inviting experience. Set against the backdrop of the Tuscarawas River, Raven’s Glenn pairs fine wine and Italian food with the peaceful setting. Guests can enjoy tastings of more than twenty wines, including several gold medal winners, while relaxing indoors or on the riverside patio. The gift shop adds to the experience, making it easy to take home a favorite bottle or wine accessory. For something unique, try one of their signature wine cocktails, such as the Peach Tea made with peach wine and sweet or unsweet tea.

Tastes and Sips Across the Trail

Continue to Rainbow Hills Winery, Brewery and Pizzeria, located just across from Raven’s Glenn. This inviting stop offers wine, freshly brewed beer, and a food menu that includes pizza, sandwiches, and snacks. With eight beers on tap in the tasting room, there is plenty to explore. Try the Amber Ale made with caramel and crystal malts. It has a beautiful amber hue and a toasted toffee flavor.

Next, stop at YOLO Winery in the city of Kimbolton. This California-style winery produces and bottles its wine on site using handcrafted methods. They craft each batch in 100-gallon stainless steel tanks imported from Italy, then age it with oak and triple-filter it for clarity and a smooth finish.

Guests can enjoy a glass or bottle of wine while relaxing on a couch or at a table. Try one of their standout wines, such as the PB and J, made with Concord grapes and featuring a peanut butter finish, or the Harvest Moon, a sweet caramel apple wine available for a limited time.

Make your way to Wooly Pig Farm Brewery, where tradition and craftsmanship come together in every pour. This family-owned brewery brings the taste of Northern Bavaria to Ohio with clean, smooth beers brewed with care.

The brewhouse, known as Das Sudhaus, combines classic German design with modern functionality. Built locally and powered by electric steam, it allows for both five- and ten-barrel brewing. Each tank is wrapped in hardwood harvested from the surrounding land—black walnut, honey locust, and sassafras—chosen for both beauty and durability.

On tap are classic styles, such as pilsners, dunkels, and marzens, all brewed onsite by owner and brewmaster Kevin Ely, who holds a degree in brewing. Outside, guests often stop to see the namesake wooly pigs, adding a bit of uniqueness to this unforgettable stop on the trail.

Enjoy a glass of locally handcrafted wine at Baltic Mill Winery, set inside a beautifully restored century-old flour mill in the heart of Ohio’s Amish country. Relax near the fireplace or take in the sights of Main Street from the comfort of the covered patio as horse-drawn buggies pass by.

Try the crisp Sauvignon Blanc, bursting with citrus and perfect for dry wine lovers, or the popular Blackberry Wine, made with Washington State blackberries for a smooth, tart finish.

Relaxing Finishes on the Wine Tour

Killing Tree Winery is a peaceful rural escape where guests can enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the scenic view from the patio. Fire pits are available during nice weather, adding to the laid-back atmosphere.

Inside the tasting room, guests can enjoy wine alongside a full-service menu featuring shareable plates, salads, and wood-fired pizzas. Live music fills the air every Friday and Saturday, and they serve breakfast and brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Try Bless Your Heart, a bold bourbon barrel-aged Fredonia, or Grass Puppy, a sweet white Muscat with easy sipping appeal.

End your wine tour at Stone Crest Vineyard, where guests can sip wine beside a peaceful hillside waterfall or relax inside the climate-controlled tasting room. Born from Cheryl and Mike’s love of wine and passion for farming, this vineyard brings that dream to life in every bottle. Try the White Stone, a sweet white made from Cayuga grapes with a light and fruity finish, or Tranquility, a dry white with crisp notes reminiscent of Pinot Grigio.

“I had no idea how many wineries were in my area until I went on the Sip & Stay wine tour. It was a great way to experience the area’s wine and beer industry, and Mike from Cork & Tap was a great guide!”
