Spinach Salad with Homemade Hot Bacon Dressing

For The Salad:

  • 1 Bag Fresh Spinach.
  • ½ Red onion. Thinly Sliced.
  • 4 Hard Boiled Eggs, Chopped.
  • 1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese.
  • 1/3lb. Sliced Bacon, Cooked and Diced.
  • 1 Tomato. Diced.
  • 1 Cup Sliced Strawberries. (optional)

For The Dressing:

  • 2/3lb. Sliced Bacon. Cooked and Diced.
  • 3 Cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 ½ Cups White Vinegar
  • 1 Cup Water

In a Medium Saucepan add in granulated sugar, white vinegar, and water. Bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly until sugar is completely dissolved. Turn off heat and add in cooked bacon. Allow to cool for at least an hour before eating. Make salads and pour desired amount of dressing on. Save the remaining dressing in a mason jar for up to 2 weeks.
