Rediscover Italian Comfort at Spennato’s in Northfield, Ohio
Spennato’s Italian Ristorante has been a favorite of mine for years. I still remember the first time I went and tried their pizza—it was incredible and reminded me of my childhood. Recently, I decided to visit again but didn’t realize they had moved. Thankfully, a quick Google search led me to their new location at 9415 Olde Eight Road.
We walked in on a Saturday evening and were a little worried when they asked if we had reservations—something we hadn’t thought to make. At first, I thought we might be out of luck, but thankfully, a table opened up, and we were seated by the window across from their elegant bar. The restaurant was buzzing with lively conversations, and many people were stopping by to pick up takeout orders.
The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for—a glass of wine, a relaxed and intimate setting, tablecloths, and a warm, inviting vibe. For dinner, I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. They were perfect—delicious, hearty, and served with warm bread and dipping oil. My salad came with a homemade Caesar dressing, and I paired it all with a smooth glass of Cabernet.
My husband struggled to decide between the linguini with clams and the linguini with sausage, but the sausage won out, and he loved it. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the food quality and the restaurant’s upscale feel.
We both wished we had room to try one of their desserts. The pistachio ricotta cake and the cannolis both sounded terrific. Next time, I’ll make sure to save room! Spennato’s felt like a true escape—a place where great food, warm service, and an inviting atmosphere come together. If you’re in Northfield, it’s definitely worth a visit.
