Your New Go-To Fall Drink: Easy Apple Cider Punch

Thanks to our fabulous friends at Walnut Creek Cheese & Market, we are sharing a favorite fall recipe.

Fall is my favorite time of year, and nothing says autumn like a good punch. With its simple steps and readily available ingredients, this apple cider punch recipe has quickly become my go-to for any outdoor gathering. It is perfect for camping, tailgating, or a cozy fall get-together with friends and family. Plus, this punch is a breeze to make and the flavors scream fall in the most delightful way.

Let’s talk about the star of this punch: apple cider. It’s not just any apple cider, though—I go for the good stuff, fresh and unspiced. There’s something so comforting about the taste of pure apple cider, and it’s the perfect base for this punch.

Now, if you’re anything like me, caramel is a weakness. That’s why adding caramel-flavored syrup to the cider was a no-brainer. The syrup brings a rich, buttery sweetness that balances the tartness of the apples perfectly. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love caramel apples in the fall? This punch gives you that same vibe but in a drinkable form.

Of course, we can’t forget about the pumpkin pie spice. This is where the magic happens. Just a teaspoon or two, and suddenly, it feels like you’ve captured the essence of a pumpkin patch or a brisk autumn day in a cup. Sure, some spice might float to the top, but that’s just a gentle reminder to give it a quick whisk before serving. Trust me, it’s worth it.

For an extra touch, I like to throw in some cinnamon sticks and sliced apples right before serving. They look beautiful floating in the punch and add spice to make each sip even more satisfying.

Whether you serve it chilled, at room temperature, or warm, this Fall Punch is a crowd-pleaser. It’s become a staple at our fall gatherings, and I’m sure it will be at yours, too. So, the next time you’re headed out for a tailgate, setting up camp, or just enjoying a fall evening with friends, whip up a batch of this punch. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the season—one delicious sip at a time!

Fall Punch Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 Gallons Apple Cider (not spiced)
  • 6-12 oz Caramel Flavored Syrup
  • 1-2 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • Optional: Cinnamon Sticks, Sliced Apples

Directions:

  1. Pour almost all the apple cider (save about 1/4 of the 2 gallons) into a large drink dispenser. This leaves room for mixing and adjusting.
  2. Add the caramel syrup. Start with 6 oz and taste—if you love caramel as much as I do, you might want to go for the full 12 oz!
  3. Whisk in the pumpkin pie spice. Some spice may float to the top but don’t worry—whisk it again before serving. Taste and add more spice if desired to bring out that fall flavor.
  4. Serve the punch chilled, at room temperature, or warm—whatever suits your gathering.
  5. If you’re feeling fancy, toss a few cinnamon sticks and some sliced apples before serving. Not only do they look festive, but they also add a lovely extra layer of flavor.

This punch has become a staple at my fall gatherings, whether it’s a crisp evening by the campfire, a lively tailgate, or a cozy family dinner. The rich caramel, warming spices, and fresh apple cider are like a hug in a mug, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the season. So, gather your ingredients, whip up a batch, and enjoy the perfect fall drink!
