Take a trip back in time at the Heritage Day at the Village at Weaver Park. Held on September 26th this year, this fall event gives visitors a chance to experience what life was like in Hilliard in the 1800s. The well-loved day brings history to life by offering Civil War reenactments, hands-on kids’ activities, and tours of the Village’s log cabin, schoolhouse, and church. This year’s Heritage Day is extra special as Hilliard celebrates our country’s 250th anniversary!
Coffee and Community
Coffee lovers are sure to find something to savor at the Columbus Coffee Festival. Featuring over 40 roasters and a variety of tasty samples, this event attracts a “latte” of visitors. The 11th annual Coffee Festival is being held on October 3rd and 4th at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard.
Halloween at the Village
Hilliard brings the Halloween fun for anyone looking for a good spook. The Haunted Village event, hosted on October 16th and 17th, is perfect for kids and costume-friendly. Trick-or-treaters can collect candy, make crafts, and listen to scary stories. Admission to the Haunted Village is $5 per person and kids three years old and under get in free.
More Fall Festivities
The Hilliard Fall Festival offers a mix of fall activities for the entire family to enjoy. This well-attended event consists of hayrides, face painting, games, and a pumpkin patch. Plus, Destination Hilliard hosts the annual Halloween Haunt. Offering some not-so-spooky fun for children, this occasion allows kids to dress up in costumes and trick-or-treat at businesses along Hilliard’s Main Street. The Haunt kicks off at 9 a.m. on October 24th and lasts until 11 a.m.
