Medina County Parks: 25 Park Sites and 60 Trails to Explore
With the awakening of plant life, wildlife, and adventures ahead, Medina County offers fresh backdrops for getting outside this spring. With 25 park sites, 60 trails, and a variety of educational programs, the Medina County Park District has emerged as a conservation leader in the northeast Ohio region by successfully acquiring and managing over 9,000 acres of protected land.
From weekly hike schedules to birdwatching, the Parks District helps create a lasting connection to Medina County’s natural beauty. Trails wind through forests, wetlands, and open meadows, giving visitors space to slow down and reconnect with the outdoors.
Mountain Biking in Medina: Reagan Park to Austin Badger Park
The City of Medina also has a phenomenal municipal park system. With seven connecting bike trails and up to 10 miles of riding, you can experience Medina’s natural beauty in a unique and rewarding way. No matter how long or short, difficult or easy, Medina has a wide variety of mountain bike trails to enjoy.
Start your adventure with a ride through Reagan Park. Specifically, the Reagan Park Trail is a 4-mile loop offering a relatively easy ride. The trail is very well maintained, and its purple markings, or blazes, make it easy to follow. Riders looking for more adventure can veer onto the High School Loop, a 2-mile trail connected to the main route and marked with yellow blazes.
Austin Badger Park offers challenging trails, beginning with the three-mile Badger Loop. This trail winds through a former golf course before branching into two additional loops. Between the one mile Hockenheimring Loop and the two and a half mile Lake Loop access trail, you will enjoy a challenging yet stunning biking experience.
