One of the most unique features of the festival is the chance to explore 19 of Ashtabula County’s historic covered bridges, including the longest and shortest in the United States. These bridges, representing five different truss types—Howe, Pratt, Town lattice, Burr Arch, and Inverted Haupt—are not just structures but living testaments to the rich history and architectural significance.
