Family Fun And Fabulous Finds: Shopping In Amish Country
Spending a day thrift shopping in Amish Country is like going on a treasure hunt! One fall morning, my husband, daughter, two grandkids, and I set out for a day of exploring thrift stores, not knowing what incredible finds we might come across. We ended up with a car packed with goodies and had a blast along the way!
Let’s Go Thrift Shopping Through Amish Country
First Stop: Harvest Thrift Store & Annex – Wilmot, Ohio
Our first stop was at the Harvest Thrift Store in Wilmot, where we hit the jackpot! We wandered through the main store and the annex, finding everything from clothes to kitchenware. The best part? My grandson found a cool die-cast metal car, and my daughter scored a beautiful tablecloth for family dinners. It was the perfect start to our thrifting adventure!
Mission Thrift – Berlin, Ohio
Next, we headed to Mission Thrift in Berlin, and the fun continued. My daughter found some super cute clothes while I bought a few new decorations for the house. My granddaughter had a blast picking out some games, and we all loved browsing through the household items. The store was packed with great deals!

Share & Care Thrift Store – Berlin, Ohio
Just around the corner, we popped into Share & Care Thrift Store. They had everything from books to furniture! I found a cozy blanket that will be great for those chilly nights, and my husband couldn’t resist checking out some old tools. The kids were excited to dig through the toy section, too. It was hard to leave without taking everything home!
Lunch at Der Dutchman
We were all ready for a break by lunchtime, so we headed to Der Dutchman for a yummy meal. Overlooking the valley, we enjoyed fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and delicious pie. It was just what we needed to recharge before more shopping.
Save & Serve Thrift Shop – Millersburg, Ohio
Our final stop was Save & Serve Thrift Shop in Millersburg. Thanks to some strategic packing, we still had room in the car for a few more finds! The kids picked out some last-minute toys, and I grabbed a vintage pastry blender like my grandma’s. I just had to have it!
