Lima Has a Full Summer of Live Music
Downtown Lima punches above its weight when it comes to outdoor music. There are three ways to catch a show — one ticketed, two completely free — and all of them are within easy walking distance of great food and drinks.
Third Thursday Downtown Lima — Once a month, Main Street closes to traffic and opens for a street party. Live rooftop music at Spring & Main, a farmers market, a car cruise-in, and free trolley rides. It happens on the third Thursday of every month through the summer.
Pangle Pavilion at Greater Lima Region Park & Amphitheater (128 E. Spring St.) — Lima’s anchor outdoor stage. A brand-new nonprofit called the Lima Festivals & Amphitheater Alliance built out an eight-show summer concert series here with local acts, tribute bands, and more. Rock the Park Concert Series — Twinsburg
If you’ve never been to Rock the Park, you’re missing one of Northeast Ohio’s best-kept secrets. This summer marks the 17th season of the series, and it just keeps getting better.
The Perici Amphitheater is located in Glen Chamberlin Park in Twinsburg. It holds over 1,400 fans and looks like a miniature version of Blossom Music Center — complete with great sound and the kind of outdoor atmosphere that makes every show feel like an event. Local acts, regional favorites, and even the Cleveland Orchestra have taken the stage here over the years.
The 2026 lineup has something for everyone. On June 26, the Cleveland Pops Orchestra returns for its annual Family and Fireworks Night — one of the most popular shows of the season and a tradition for families across the region. Later in the summer, the series keeps rolling with more acts through July and August.

RiversEdge Amphitheater — Hamilton

Here’s one that doesn’t get nearly enough credit outside of southwest Ohio. RiversEdge sits right along the banks of the Great Miami River in downtown Hamilton — open sky overhead, water behind the stage, food trucks nearby, and most shows are completely free.
The 2026 season brings 15 free general admission concerts running from May through late September. The lineup spans rock, blues, jazz, tribute acts, and local artists — something different almost every weekend. VIP tickets are available too, with a front-of-stage viewing area and drink vouchers, but the free lawn experience is hard to beat.
The venue also hosts bigger festivals throughout the summer, including Whimmydiddle and Jared’s Jam — multi-day events that draw music lovers from across the region.

Good to know: Downtown Hamilton has seen a real comeback in recent years. Come early and walk around before the show — there’s good food and local shops within easy walking distance.
Plain Township Amphitheater — Canton

This one is brand new and still flying under the radar. A new addition to Ohio’s Outdoor Music Venues, the Plain Township Amphitheater was completed in 2023 and has been hosting a free summer concert series ever since. It has a large covered stage, a top-notch sound system, and lawn seating — and admission won’t cost you a thing.
The 2026 series runs June through August with a mix of genres, family programming, and community events. If you’re already heading to the Canton area, this is an easy add to any weekend plan.

Make a Weekend of It at Ohio’s Outdoor Music Venues
The best part about Ohio’s outdoor music scene? Most of these spots are within easy driving distance of good lodging, great food, and other activities. Here are a few tips for planning a music weekend:
- Lima: Stay downtown and walk to the Pangle Pavilion or the Civic Center series. Plenty of dining within a few blocks.
- Twinsburg: Rock the Park is in the southeast corner of Greater Cleveland. Combine it with a day in the Cuyahoga Valley before the show.
- Hamilton: RiversEdge is steps from downtown. Come early, eat local, and stay for the show along the river.
- Canton: Plain Township Amphitheater pairs well with the Pro Football Hall of Fame or a day exploring Stark County.
