This fun and unique celebration is held at Triangle Park in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. The event, which began in 2012, features the dropping of a large popcorn ball named “Jupiter” at midnight. 

The festivities usually begin at 10:30 pm on December 31st. A group known as the “Merry Pranksters” is responsible for preparing Jupiter for the event. The popcorn ball is displayed in front of Chagrin Falls Popcorn Shop during December. After which, it is hoisted up a flagpole and dropped to mark the new year.

Wylie Walleye Fish Drop Rings in the New Year in Port Clinton
