August Fairs in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia

These August county fairs offer rides, food, and family fun you won’t want to miss.

County fairs have always been a highlight of my summer. As a kid in 4-H, I spent entire weeks at the fairgrounds caring for my horses. The memories of late nights in the barn and the smell of fair food drifting through the midway are still some of my favorites. Even as an adult, I love visiting the fair—walking through barns full of animals, hearing the roar of tractor pulls, and enjoying rides like the Scrambler and Octopus. August is the perfect time to visit, and some of the best fairs in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia are just getting started. Plan your trip now to enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors before summer ends.
