The Enchanted Forest: A Whimsical Fall Tradition at The Wilderness Center

The Enchanted Forest at The Wilderness Center

The Enchanted Forest at The Wilderness Center returns for another year of whimsy and fun for the whole family. You’ll be guided through the forest by friendly firefly volunteers along a magical path with pumpkins lighting the way. Along the trail, you’ll encounter costumed characters like a mouse, flying squirrel, coyote, and maybe a new friend.

More than Just a Walk in the Woods

The nighttime sounds of the forest, the cozy glow of lit pumpkins, and friendly costumed characters add to the whimsy of The Enchanted Forest. As you walk along, the characters will sing, dance, tell jokes, and share special stories of their lives in the woods. These fun encounters give children a unique look at the animals that are awake while they may be sleeping.

Family Friendly

The Enchanted Forest is a safe and fun fall experience that educates people on the importance of nocturnal species and conservation. Learning about animals that live in our forests can help children develop a greater appreciation for the wildlife around us. After The Enchanted Forest, weather permitting, you can learn about the nighttime sky and enjoy star-watching with the astronomy club.
