Your Fall Getaway in Medina County Begins

Friday Night: Settle In and Unwind

Friday night, check yourself into the newly renovated Garner Hotel, family- and pet-friendly for all your travel companions. Plan a trip to enjoy an indoor concert at the Celestia or an outdoor night under the stars at Pocket Park. Enjoy a relaxed dinner a few miles north at Ridge and Rail for some of the best pizza, wings and salads you’ll ever try.

Saturday Morning: Trails and Fall Color

Saturday morning, take away stress by the indoor pool. Grab a hot complimentary breakfast and gear up for a few hikes to take in the fall color. The Medina County Parks District has plenty of options for easy or difficult trails. Additionally, you can choose water or land adventures in each corner of the county. Check out their website, medinacountyparks.com to “Find yourself outside.” You can also plan an afternoon at the Oenslager or Susan Hambley Nature Centers.

Hinckley Lake: Kayaks, Putt Putt and Pizza

One of the Cleveland Metroparks is in our county as well. Hinckley Lake offers kayak rentals and a beautiful backdrop for adventure. Whether you’re renting a kayak or hiking, there are lots of beautiful little corners to rest and relax. You can even plan a round of putt putt at Buzzard Cove, just a few steps away from the lake, and get their award-winning pizza flights and ice cream.

Mapleside Farms: A Fall Tradition

No fall trip to Medina County is complete without time spent at our county’s premier farm and attraction, Mapleside Farms. Once voted the most beautiful farm in America, Mapleside proves its focus on family connection and outstanding events all season long. Every weekend starting in September, you can plan your getaway according to what meets the needs of your family.

Patio Season Isn’t Over Yet

There are plenty of patios still welcoming fall diners. The cooler temps bring soups and fall brews while embracing some of the best late summer options. Places like Market 42 in Brunswick offer a little taste for each member of your crew and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the fall ambiance.

Load Up on Décor and Apples

Wrap up your weekend grabbing all the fall porch and patio décor you can fit into your car, and all the apples you’ll want to take home. A few of our favorites are Richardson’s Farm, Boyert’s, Beriswill and Geigs.
