Historic Roscoe Village: America’s Canal Town
A trip to Coshocton is incomplete without a visit to Historic Roscoe Village. This charming village, once a major port on the Ohio and Erie Canal, now hosts shops, restaurants, and living history tours. “Our new interactive video content allows guests to experience the exhibits at their own pace while also enjoying the shopping and dining available in the village,” says Roscoe Village Marketing Director Angel Underwood. “The tour really helps guests understand what life was like in Roscoe in the 1800s.”
Living History Tours and Legends & Lanterns
Some exhibits feature costumed interpreters, allowing guests to ask questions and learn more about the 1830s-era village. The new limited-edition Legends & Lanterns Tour includes family-friendly spooky stories featuring Roscoe’s past residents. It is available only the week before Halloween, October 26-31. Living History tours are available every day from 10 am to 4 pm.
Unique Shopping and Dining Experiences
Locally owned shops fill the historic buildings of Roscoe Village. Visitors love the variety of items available, including handmade leather goods, locally made food and wines, home decor, bath and body products, clothing, fine jewelry, candy, and American-made flags. Roscoe Village offers four great dining options, from gourmet coffee to Texas-style barbecue. See RoscoeVillageShops.com for more information.

Apple Butter Stirrin’ Festival: October 18-20
