Coshocton County is filled with opportunities for celebrating the change of seasons. From festivals to foliage to farms and flights (of wine), autumn is the perfect time to fall in love with Coshocton.

Experience the Apple Butter Stirrin’ Festival in Roscoe Village

The Apple Butter Stirrin’ Festival in Historic Roscoe Village is a must-do, taking place October 17–19, 2025. An annual tradition since 1971, the festival draws guests who love the sights and scents of autumn. Watch as they stir the apple butter in a cast-iron kettle, visit artist booths and local shops, and dine in the village. Enjoy live music, free games, and activities for the whole family, including kids. The self-guided living history tour includes local ghost stories and legends. Tickets are online or at the gate, with free parking. Historic Roscoe Village is open daily (excluding major holidays) year-round.

Take a Scenic Drive on the Fall Foliage & Farm Tour

The Fall Foliage & Farm Tour, hosted by The Ohio State University Extension of Coshocton, is the perfect way to extend your Apple Butter visit into a full weekend. On October 18 & 19, participants head to the Coshocton County Fairgrounds and pick up a map for the drive-it-yourself tour. The “mystery” route is kept secret until the day of the tour and includes stops at farms, ag-related businesses, historic sites, and a lunch station. It’s a great way to see the fall colors of the Appalachian Foothills while learning about the area’s rich agricultural traditions.

Savor Local Flavor Along the Three Rivers Wine Trail
