Rubber Duckies – Unite!

The Rockin’ River Duck Drop & Jeep Cruise-In is on August 15th 6- 9 PM in Piqua, Ohio. Purchase a rubber duck at Mainstreet Piqua and drop it in the Great Miami River for a chance to win $1,000. Visitors can bring their “ducked” out Jeep for a chance to win a fun prize. Visit food trucks and enjoy a hometown concert at Lock 9. The last day to adopt ducks or register a Jeep is Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Take a Donut Detour

Ohio’s largest one-day cycling event, The Tour de Donut, is on August 22nd in Troy, Ohio. This unique bicycle event combines riding your bike and eating donuts! Riders will visit donut shops and have five minutes deducted from their race time for each donut they eat (and keep down). Prizes are awarded for the best adjusted “donut time,” most donuts eaten, and the fastest bike-only time. Cyclists of all skill levels are invited to this fun event.

The Piqua Community Farmer’s Market is in the heart of downtown Piqua, surrounded by charming historic buildings. This farmer’s market brings together local farmers and artisans. Shoppers can expect to find seasonal fruits and vegetables grown by local farmers. Discover handmade gifts including pottery, jewelry, and candles. Treat yourself to delectable pastries, fresh-baked bread, and other delicious treats.

The Cherry Street Farmer’s Market in Troy, Ohio is the perfect way to start your Saturday morning. Shop for fresh local produce, bread, artisan cheeses, maple syrup, honey, baked goods, and locally raised meat. You can listen to live music, check out local artists’ work and other entertainment. The market is open Saturdays through September from 9am–noon.

Autumn Evenings on the Farm

Johnston Farm & Indian Agency, located in Piqua, OH, is a real treat for history buffs and lovers of Americana. This historic farm celebrates 2,000 years of Ohio’s rich history from prehistoric Indians to Ohio’s canal era in the 1800’s. While visiting the farm, learn about the farm’s founder, tour the farm, and take wagon rides. You can also tour Johnston House and enjoy a hearth-cooked treat, and more! Do not miss the Boat Ride at 2:30 pm. The historic canal boat is still drawn, as it was two centuries ago, by a team of mules. Autumn Evenings on the Farm are scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd, 10th & 24th from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Fun Miami County Fall Events for Everyone!

An event you certainly can’t miss is the Fall Farm Fest at Lost Creek Reserve in Troy, Ohio.  On October 11th-12th at the historic Knoop Homestead, the Fall Farm Fest celebrates Miami County’s agricultural roots. Visitors can explore the six-acre corn maze, try the corn cannon, or take a wagon ride. Watch an apple cider or rope-making demonstration. Take in the beauty of the tree-lined lanes, visit the farm animal exhibits, and enjoy live music and food. Pick out your pumpkin and watch the Kiddie Tractor Pull!
