Celebrate Fall at Log Cabin Days in Loudonville, Ohio

Fall is here, along with the Log Cabin Days celebration in Loudonville, Ohio. On Friday, September 13, from 10 am to 6 pm, and Saturday, September 14, from 9 am to 5 pm, 552 State Route 95 will host fun-filled activities for all ages.

Exciting Demonstrations and Activities

Feature presentations include lumberjack, two-person crosscut sawing demonstrations, and an axe-throwing competition. Information about starting your hobby farm will range from gardening to raising chickens.

The hayride forestry tour will teach visitors how to plant trees and manage woodlands. Additional displays highlight a steam engine sawmill, broom making, wool spinning, and candle and pottery making.

Log Cabin Days Serves Up Delicious Food and Family Fun

From 7 to 10 am, they will serve pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausages on Saturday. After breakfast, visitors can enjoy the Kids Zone petting zoo, covered wagon rides, the maze and digging for gold.

An array of delicious food will be available to please all ages, including barbecued chicken, soft pretzels, apple butter, fry pies, and assorted Amish pastries. Those with a hearty appetite can enjoy the 1-pound Log Cabin Burger. Fresh-pressed apple cider and homemade ice cream round out the menu.

Auctions, Workshops, and Vendor Delights Highlight Log Cabin Days

A rustic furniture and décor auction begins at 3 pm on Friday. Starting at 5 pm, there will be small cabins for auction for those interested in log cabins. Numerous vendors will have furniture, crafts, home décor, and antiques available for purchase for those who do not want to enter the bidding competition.

An educational workshop will explain planning, designing, financing, and building a log home. A tour of a finished log home is an absolute must, as you will be amazed at its function and beauty.
