What Is the Miami County History Pass?
This free digital guide leads you to more than 30 museums, historic sites, sculptures, and landmarks. It’s an interactive way to explore the region’s past while connecting with its vibrant present.
“In celebration of America250, it was important to us to create a trail that would connect people to the stories, places, and traditions that make Miami County such an important part of Ohio—and America’s history,” said Visit Miami County Director Leiann Stewart.

Must-See Stops on the Trail
- Gale Halderman Mustang Museum – Tipp City
Home to the designer of the original Ford Mustang, this museum showcases drawings, photos, and memorabilia from Halderman’s 40-year career with Ford. Visits are available by appointment. - Historic Eldean Covered Bridge – Troy
At 224 feet, it’s the nation’s longest Long Truss covered bridge. It is also one of just two remaining in Miami County. A perfect spot for photography and local history buffs alike. - Indian Creek Distillery – New Carlisle
Heritage meets craftsmanship at this distillery. Here, whiskey is handmade in small batches using the Staley family’s 200-year-old recipe and the oldest copper pot stills in the U.S.
