Home to the park district’s Oenslager Nature Center. Hiking is encouraged, with more than 4 miles of trails that lead through diverse landscapes, including mature forests, wetlands, meadows, and prairies. The center seeks to meet the needs of all user groups. It offers access to nature displays, temporary exhibits, educational programs, and an indoor bird-watching area. The education staff is available year-round. Restrooms and a drinking fountain are inside the Nature Center and available during open hours.
