Sculptures on the Square Coming Back to Downtown Troy

This summer, Troy Main Street will once again bring Sculptures on the Square to downtown Troy. The 2025 Sculptures on the Square exhibition is the continuation of a very successful biennial promotional event that began in 2003.

Sculptures on the Square

Over the years, downtown Troy has hosted an impressive array of artworks through its Sculptures on the Square exhibit. This event has prominently shown the works of sculptor Seward Johnson on multiple occasions. Additionally, the exhibitions have invited local artists and community groups to participate, ranging from painting fiberglass planes to crafting door sculptures that reflect their respective organizations.

Sculptures on the Square 2025: Sow & Grow Theme

As we look forward to summer, downtown Troy will once again welcome a variety of artwork as part of Troy Main Street’s biennial Sculptures on the Square exhibition. This year’s exhibit features 20 sculptures by 19 artists from throughout the United States, as well as local artwork that will be displayed in local businesses. Each of our artists has created a sculpture that reflects this year’s theme, “Sow & Grow.” Sculptures on the Square will run from June 13 to October 5, 2025.

Opening Celebration and More to Discover

A public opening celebration will take place on Friday, June 20, in downtown Troy, coinciding with the Fridays on Prouty Plaza concert. More information about the Friday night concert and Sculptures on the Square can be found at www.TroyMainStreet.org.
