Start Your Evening at the December First Friday Art Walk

To start the evening, head to the December First Friday Art Walk from 5 to 8 pm in downtown Zanesville. Galleries open their doors, offering hundreds of original works for purchase. It’s the perfect opportunity to find a one-of-a-kind gift for someone special. You’ll meet artists, enjoy the creativity on display, and take in the warmth of the growing art scene.

As you continue downtown, keep an eye out for holiday characters and Elfie the Elf, hiding nearby. Snap a photo and share it on the Visit Zanesville, Ohio Facebook page to join the fun scavenger hunt.

Family Fun During Zanesville’s Holiday Celebration

Families will find plenty to enjoy. Stop by the Stuff-a-Plush teddy bear station, where kids can build a stuffed friend for free. Then visit Santa’s House outside the Welcome Center to share Christmas wishes and snap a cozy photo with the big guy himself.

As the night goes on, the lights shine even brighter. Ohio’s only 26-foot LED ornament tree glows proudly in the center of town. A short walk to Zane’s Landing Park reveals a peaceful, lighted trail filled with twinkling displays. Just a few blocks away, the Muskingum County Courthouse keeps spirits bright with looping holiday music and light shows.
