Whether you consider yourself a beginner, skilled or approaching pro level golfer, you’ll enjoy yourself at BigShots Golf Firestone. Located at 600 Swartz Road in Akron, BigShots, adjacent to Firestone 9 Public Golf Course, it has 44 climate-controlled tee boxes. This means you can practice your swing or virtually play various courses in any weather, rain or shine. BigShots combines the comfort of indoor golf with the convenience of a high-tech driving range.
After a short introductory lesson, the beginners in our group were swinging like pros. Assorted golf clubs are provided to practice individual shots. Each box is equipped with a TrackMan Range, which is a Doppler radar-based system displaying performance stats of distance, angle and speed of your shot. Our group quickly started a challenge to see who could hit the longest shot. Tee boxes can accommodate up to 6 people and prices range from $11 to $14 per person, depending on the box.
Those who want to play like the pros can try the Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, and Liberty National courses, to name a few, with tech-loaded games. All without ever having to travel.
While you play, enjoy a delicious bite from Anthem Kitchen + Bar. Try a B.F.D. Burger–two patties and double cheese, topped with fried onions. They serve cocktails, beers and wine to add to your enjoyment.
