Crafting Memories: Brewing Your Beer
Recently, my husband and his friends decided to celebrate a milestone with an exciting beer-making adventure at The Brew Kettle in Strongsville, Ohio.
Imagine their surprise when encountering an impressive selection of over 70 beer and wine recipes.
Each was meticulously crafted by a Brewmaster renowned for winning 24 National Brew-On-Premise Competition Medals.
The hands-on beer brewing process lasted about 2.5 hours, during which they were equipped with all the necessary ingredients and expert guidance.
The time flew by, and the guys had the opportunity to learn more about the process as they took a hands-on role in creating their beverage. The only downside was waiting the necessary time for fermentation to take place. Some things do get better with age.
A Journey of Flavor: Dining at The Brew Kettle
The Brew Kettle doesn’t just make beer. Another adventure was more about our appetites. My husband and I visited the Hudson, Ohio, location for a date night and indulged in a diverse and flavorful menu.
We began the evening with an ice-cold beer. But with such an impressive array of choices, choosing just one proved quite challenging. So, the flights were a perfect choice, leaving us thoroughly satisfied with our selections.
Before deciding on a main dish, the appetizer menu had us drooling. We couldn’t resist the jalapeno cornbread with cinnamon butter. It was the perfect accompaniment to our other selection, burnt-ended poutine.

The poutine was savory and rich, and it was oh-so-tempting not to share with my husband.
Not surprisingly, the main courses were just as delicious. The Southern Shrimp & Grits, a concoction of Cajun Shrimp, cheddar grits, and Andouille sausage, was a true taste of the South. I opted for the Cajun Chicken Pasta, featuring tender grilled chicken in a rich cajun cream sauce served over pasta. We both indulged too much and still had delicious leftovers for the next day.
Not only were the food and beer excellent, but we also had phenomenal service. Although our waitress had other tables to take care of, she always made us feel like we were her only customers that night.
